Trip to Scotland

Inverness

We had some time to kill in Inverness. It is supposed to be the shopping capitol of Scotland, but I didn't think the buys were that great. There was a big mall right next to the train station which is handy for people with time to waste in the city.

We walked up to see Inverness Castle, it is a relatively new building and is used for the normal city offices like the sheriff and court house and the like. Inverness is really a new city compared to the rest of the sights we've seen. It has been destroyed several times in battle so has been rebuilt.

Inverness is usually a jumping off spot to see Loch Ness. We didn't have time to go to the Loch but we did see the River Ness - no monster swiming around though.
